El artista Javier Vélez mezcla la pintura con la gráfica para crear la tercera dimensión a la cual llama “Pintugrafía”. Esta nace en su taller, cuando se unen la pintura y la gráfica, de modo tal que se contraponen los puntos (reticulado) de una fotoserigrafía separando los colores de cuatricromía y dejando un espacio entre ellos o simplemente usando la misma herramienta (tamiz) del proceso fotoserigrafico, que a su vez se sobreponen a una pintura para lograr una tercera dimensión óptica. Esta técnica es el resultado de la experimentación accidentada que comienza en el 1997 y el resultado es esta manifestación novedosa y de múltiples posibilidades…. La pintugrafía es una forma de ver, de crear, de hacer arte, es el principio de una visión, de un movimiento, del visionalismo.

The artist Javier Vélez mix painting with graphics to create the third dimension which called "pintugrafía". This was created in his Studio, upon joining the paint and graphics, in a way such that are in contradiction points of a photo-screenprinting separating the colors of four colour halftone printing and leaving a space between them or simply using the same tool (screen) of the photo-screenprinting process that in turn they overlap to a painting to achieve a third optical dimension. This technique is the result of the rugged experimentation beginning in 1997 and the result is this novel expression and multiple possibilities… The pintugrafía is a way to view, create, make art, is the beginning of a vision, of a movement, of the visionalismo.
